Animal Farm is a fictional novel by George Orwell. It tells a story of animals in a farm. In this book, the animals are trying to overthrow the farm owner. Among all the animals, the pigs are the most intelligent and the leaders. Although other animals are not as smart as the pigs, they can understand and cooperate. The pigs who are the leaders gain more power by changing the rules little by little, and this makes some of other animals question them.

The thing that makes Animal Farm outstanding is that the story and characters are basically metaphors for real world politics. These beautifully crafted representation are the core of what makes the book a masterpiece. Although the readers do not understand what each character represents politically, they can easily realize the message of the book. The book can be fun and entertaining even for someone who knows nothing about politics. The engaging story and plot-twists also make the book, for me, one of the best fictions of all time.
